October-Esperanza comes home

My older brother Josh went to Mexico for his 2 year mission with our church.  After he came back, his heart was still in Mexico and he missed all the people there.  So he decided to go back.  There was also a special someone there that he wanted to go visit and see if there was anything "there".  He got home in December 2009 and went back to Mexico in June of 2010.

Well what do you know, that there was a spark between Josh and Esperanza and they got married in January of 2010.  Since she is from Mexico, it was SO hard for her to come here.  My dad and Josh were working together for over a year getting all the paperwork done, doing interviews, and proving who they said they were.  After all the stress and paperwork that they had to do, they were finally approved to come to the United States.  The scary part was that they had to go and live in Juarez for a week because that is where the Embassy is and she had to do one final interview with them that lasted for a couple of hours.  Talk about nerve wracking!  But she did great and a few days later were on there way home.  My dad and grandma drove out to Juarez to go and pick them up at the border.

The night they were coming home, we all met up at our Grandma's house to FINALLY meet her and give her a warm welcoming.  I am so glad we were able to be there and make her feel welcome.  I can only imagine her feelings..of being a totally new country and culture that she is not used to.  She is one of the sweetest girls and I am so happy that she is part of our family!

Here they are walking up to our Grandma's house
