Labor Day

So I am a little behind on my blogging...we have moving for the past month and it kicked my butt and all we have been doing is packing moving and unpacking. I am so glad we are done with it!

Labor day weekend we took a needed get away up to Pine. Our friends have a cabin up there and were nice enough to let us use it and take my family with us! The weather was perfect and it was so relaxing not having to worry about things back at home for a couple of days. My mom, dad, and brother Joey came up with us! It might sound boring to some but we watched movies, went into town to the shops, and played games.

My mom used to play this game all time growing up and she was giving Bear a run for his money!

Sewing project??

So I tend to go to this website a lot to get cute ideas for crafts, yummy recipe ideas, and for the cutest fonts ever! Well as I was browsing their website, I came across this...

Dog Crate Covers with the bumper pads

I have a sewing machine and need to break it out and learn how to use it and I REALLY want to make one of these for Toby :) He won't care if I use his project as a first time trial and that it won't be perfect!!

Isn't it so stinkin cute!! I showed Bear and he just rolls his eyes...figures

Daily Thought

I was blog hopping(yes I am guilty of that :) and came across this quote on someone's blog...I really enjoyed reading the last part of it and it was also a reminder to me that I need to do better on my part...

"God expects you to have enough faith and determination and enough trust in Him to keep moving, keep living, keep rejoicing. In fact, He expects you not simply to face the future; He expects you to embrace and shape the future--to love it and rejoice in it and delight in your opportunities.

God is anxiously waiting for the chance to answer your prayers and fulfill your dreams, just as He always has. But He can't if you don't pray, and He can't if you don't dream. In short, He can't if you don't believe."

Slide Rock

Yesterday we went up to Slide Rock with our friends Brooke & Alex. They took the youth from their ward(which is also our old ward) and we tagged along! The water was FREEZING so I didn't get in at all...I am a big baby! It was just nice to sit out and enjoy the nice weather without dieing from being in the heat for more than 10 minutes! It had a nice overcast so the weather was perfect!

My Dear Grandpa

My Grandpa always had a big smile on his face

My grandpa always had his guitar in hand...he taught my dad how to play the guitar

My very sweet grandparents!

June 15 started out like any other day....I got up and got ready for work, drove my 45 minute commute to work, and started my work day. As I was sitting at my desk filing papers and typing away on the computer, around 12:45, my dad came up to my desk and his voice and look worried me and it was not his usual cheerful smiley self. I jumped up from my chair and said "whats wrong" and all he could say was "grandpa" "grandpa" and made the hand signal of GONE! I didn't believe him at first. I kept saying "Grandpa Bingham?" "Your dad" "my grandpa is gone!" I seriously could not believe it! I instantly bursted into tears and my anxiety was starting to go in overdrive. I went and called Bear and told him what had happened. Bear's Grandpa passed away 4 days earlier on June 11Th so it was something I didn't want to tell him but had to...I needed his support and he has been a great support to me!

I just saw my grandpa 2 weeks earlier for our monthly family fast Sunday dinner and he was so happy and healthy and we had nothing to worry about. He walked 5 miles a day and his doctor said he was healthy for his age so NO ONE saw this coming at all! We sat and talked and laughed about the past, present and the future. We said our good-bye's, gave him a hug and a kiss and that was that. He whispered something to me that I will never forget and he could not of said it at a better time and he sealed it with a kiss on my forehead...

So after my Dad told me what had happened I called my boss to let him know what had happened and he let me leave work so I could be with the family. As I was driving to my grandparents house and I was in the car all alone, thats when I let it all out! Good thing I had a plastic bag in there as well :] I don't handle this stuff very well!

As I pulled up to my grandparents house there was a Cop SUV there and a response team vehicle from the Fire dept. I called my brother Joey(he was already there) and told him to come outside and walk with me up to the house because I just couldn't do it by myself. My mom, my dad, brother Joey, Aunt Wendy, Uncle Matt were all there when I got there. As I walked into my grandparents room he was there laying his bed, looked like he was sleeping. That was the hardest thing to see...I was just standing there staring at him thinking he was gonna wake up but he never did. More family came and we all hugged and cried together and had a family prayer right there!

It still does not seem real and I don't want to accept it that he is really gone! He had at least another 20 years! Right now I do not know why he was taken but someday we will all know and have a better understanding as to why it happened the way it did! I know he is in a good place with his family and is happy!

I love my grandpa very much and will always cherish all the memories! His family was so important to him and we all knew he loved each of us the same! He was supportive of all us, would go to all the functions we were involved in, he would always tell us he loved us, he was always there if we needed someone to talk to, and soooo much more! He was the nicest man ever and if you didn't like him then there was something wrong with you :] I admire his strength and knowledge he had of the Gospel. He knew so much and had such a strong passion for it and he loved it!

I love you grandpa and miss you so much! But I know we will see each other again and I am so grateful for my knowledge of the Plan of Salvation! Thank you for everything you did for me and for the whole family!
