Back in the beginning of November I flew back to Florida to go and visit my sister. It took some convincing on my husbands part to be gone for 6 whole days. With his work schedule it worked out to where it would be 9 days away from each other We have been married for 7 1/2 years and the longest we have been away from each other was 3 days. When he agreed to letting me go I was so excited and bought my tickets that night so that there was no way he could change his mind :)
I have never flown by myself and then when I found out I had to do a layover from Dallas to Florida I was really nervous. I had heard that the Dallas airport was HUGE and that I was going to have to take a tram from one terminal to another. I was doing research and reading reviews on that airport so I could kind of know what to expect. Thankfully the airport was not bad at all and people made it sound worse than it was.
I left very early on Halloween morning. My plane left at around 7am which meant I had to be at the airport way early. Oh well, it was all going to be worth it! I got all my necessities ready for the plane ride; some Dramamine to keep the nausea away, a few good gossip magazines, and some snacks.
The flight total with layovers was about 5 hours. I was able to get some sleep on the plane which made it go a little faster. I also slept so that there would be no chance of me getting sick. Once I got off the plane in Florida I called my sister to let her know I had finally landed. It had been about 4 months since I had last seen my sister and her family. When I saw them at the airport and when Kennedy saw it was me, she yelled my name and ran up to me with her arms wide open. It was the sweetest thing and I may or may not have gotten a little teary eyed :) I was so excited to finally be there with my sister and nieces.
I didn't get a lot of pics while I was there but we did a lot of just hanging out. I went trick or treating with them the night I got in and during the week we just went shopping and visited places around Florida. And we did a lot of relaxing, which was fine by me! Just being there with them was good enough for me. I loved spending so much time with them! I loved when Kennedy when come and snuggle with me and tell me that she loved me and that I was her best friend. Talk about melting my heart. I can't wait to have kids so that I can get that all the time :)
