Visiting Papa

Yesterday we were able to go and visit Bears Papa at the hospice. Bear's bro Chris and his wife Lisa came with us also! It was also the very first time that I met Bears dad! I am greatful that we were able to go and visit him not knowing how much longer he will be here:( It breaks my heart seeing his papa the way he is. But under the circumstances he is in, one thing for sure is that he still has his sense of humor and he was making us laugh and our visit with him an enjoyable one!

My sister Elaine had her baby early this morning and she has the cutest baby ever! Her due date was not until Sept 30 but she went on her own. Her water broke at 9:30 pm last and she had the baby 3 pushes later at 3 am! Little baby weighed in at 6 lbs 4oz! And she has a head FULL of hair! I just couldn't enough of her and will for sure be babysitting as much as I can :)

Twilight

So I finally picked up a book and read! I can't believe it myself :D I bought the book Twilight last year planning on reading but never did. But finally last month as I was sitting home bored and tired of playing on the internet I was thinking of what I could do and thats when I picked up the book and started reading.

I havent read a book since my senior year of high school which was 2003 so its been a LONG while! But I got sucked into the book as most people did but didnt read it as quick as most people did! It took me a week to read and by the end I was hooked! To celebrate me reading the book we had a twilight party at my neighbors house and watched the movie! It was so much fun and Bear came too which I am glad he did but I could of gone without his side comments :) What a good sport he was I must say!!

I then finished New Moon a week later and loved that book as well! I can't wait till the movie comes out and hope to make it to the midnight showing with all my friends! I am now into Eclipse and trying to finish that! Team Edward!!!

At my work I am lucky enough that they give me a company car! They pay for the gas, insurance, maintenance, etc. which saves me a lot of money and I am soooo grateful for that. I usually just drive the cars that are for sell and get it some exposure so they can sell them faster and they are usually pretty decent cars but the last one I had was pretty hard core!

Although its not the prettiest vehicle on the road it had really good power & AC and got me from point A to point B...that's all I can ask for right, especially when its all being taken cared of for me :) I am sad to say that we have parted ways and I am on to something a little bit nicer...

Baby Shower

My sister Elaine is having her baby in 4 weeks and I signed up to do the baby shower for her! Of course I knew 3 months in advance that I was doing it but didnt start planning it until a week before the shower so that was a crazy week! I am such a procrastinator! But in the end I loved the outcome and think it turned out really well! And the turn out was awesome! I also have to thank everyone that helped and brought stuff for me! You are awesome and I couldn't of done it without your help!!! I can't wait till she gets here! I am excited to actually become an aunt and spoil that little girl! And get some practice in between :] And thanks to Sam for taking some of the pics!!

Playing the poopy diaper game! I was surprised at how many people have never heard of it so it turned out better than I thought it would and they all enjoyed it!

Bear went to Havasupai this week with the Young Men and by the looks of this pic I wish I could of gone! I am really hoping that next year we can maybe go do this and cross something off my list of things I want to do! Well I hope I survive the next few days without Bear :]

Yesterday was a day that we actually went out and DID something instead of just staying home on Saturday. We did a little shopping at Kohls, went and visited my best friend(who is moving to Texas in August becuase her husband is in the army..sad) And then we ended up meeting up with Bear's brother and his wife for dinner! We went out to dinner to Carlos O Brians which I was actually able to enjoy! (thats a whole other entry...)

After dinner we headed over to Fiddle Stix! They have batting cages over there and I love going to the batting cages! Growing up my dad would always take us to the cages! I always wanted to play softball growing up but never got the guts to so this is as close as I will ever get :] It was also way cheap which was an added bonus...its only 1.25 for 20 pitches! At first I was pretty rusty but I finally got it again and got some pretty good hits in... We had a fun Saturday and thanks Chris & Lisa for coming out and playin!

Disneyland

This past week I was able to go on a mini vacation with Brooke. It was nice to get away for a few days and not having to worry about much :] And I was reminded of how much I just love Disneyland! Now I just have to get Bear to like it but I am not counting on that to happen any time soon....Maybe when we have kids? Thanks for letting me tag along :]
