Iam not a big fan of hospitals! Everytime I go into the hospital to visit someone I end up getting really lightheaded and feel like Iam about to faint! I went and visited my Gma today at the hospital and after maybe a minute in the ICU room I got really dizzy and very hot and started seeing those black specs when you get up to fast! I think just knowing how much they are in pain and seeing all the needles and tubes and machines freaks me out! So this is what I figured out about myself: How am I going to have babies...It requires staying in hospitals and being poked and hooked up to machines! And for a while I was thinking about becoming a nurse but now I know for a fact that I can scratch that off my list.

Wow! My suggestion...a blessing before you have to have anything done and when you are getting ready to go to the hospital to have a baby. Or, therapy? Just kidding, ya know I love ya!
It's different, trust me. I cannot stand hospitals. The smell makes me sick to my stomach. Believe me, you will be so wrapped up in yourself and the "holy crap I'm about to have a baby" you won't notice. And then you will get your epidural and you won't even care about that. Before my epidural I literally couldn't even breath without Andy telling me too. Sounds like a joke I know, but it's true. We can't all be super human like Claire.
Just for the record, I'm not super human, just determined and stubborn!!
I second what Brittney said though... its a whole new ball game when you are going to the hospital to have your baby. Plus, a lot of hospitals these days have what they call Birthing Suites, and they don't even feel like hospital rooms. Where I delivered it was like being at a hotel. The bed was even comfortable and the food was pretty yummy!!
Also, if you were to deliver naturally, you don't necessarily have to be hooked up to machines and monitors. I didn't have an IV and I only had them put the monitors on me twice... there are options... When the time comes, you'll do GREAT!!
Do you have any plans for Friday Feb. 15th? Wanna get together? Let me know if that works for you!
I don't like hospitals either! When you are having the baby you don't think about it but once you are in recovery you are ready to go home to your own bed and house. Lincoln was born so late that we had to stay 48 hours instead of 24 hours. I would have to go with Christine on this one and do the blessing thing. That really helps calm your nerves.
